Aren’t they beautiful?

We’ve got a house full of monkeys. I like bananas, but our kids LOVE them. We usually don’t have leftover bananas, but when we do, I feel obligated to make something with them before they go bad. Of course, we could freeze them, but for some reason, freezing bananas just doesn’t seem right to me.

Banana bread is really fantastic, but we’ve been making homemade ice cream a lot lately. So much that I literally feel like I’m getting fatter everyday… Why stop now? Besides, I have heavy cream that will expire soon so HAD to use it.

(I feel better now.)

Considering the cream, I decided to make banana chocolate chip ice cream tonight. Let me tell you, it is exactly what I was craving. After some time in the freezer, it’ll be perfect. I’ll keep you posted on the finished product.
